73082 Camelot Fails On The Bluebell Railway

5MT Camelot 73082 had failure on the Bluebell Railway on 17 April 2018. The locomotive was departing Kingscote Station when the problem was discovered. The locomotive was kept overnight at the station and in the morning it was toad back to Sheffield Park.

What was damaged by the failure?

At Sheffield Park the left and right hand front cylinder covers were cracked and the left piston head was broken.

Further examination will take place to find out what caused the failure.
